I was happy last week to receive a letter from Social Care Minister, Caroline Dineage, informing me that Worcestershire County Council had been awarded £25,000 of funding to support an innovative technology project aimed at improving adult social care services locally.
The funding will be used for digital information sharing to support direct care for the Council and the Worcestershire NHS Health and Care Trust. It will also help identify the potential for early intervention, in both NHS and care home settings. Support for the digital flow of information between health and adult social care is aimed at improving health outcomes across the county.
I would like to congratulate Worcestershire County Council on their successful bid for funding and look forward to seeing the resulting improvement in digital health and social care services.
