I had a fascinating visit today to Endurance Wind Farm in Hartlebury where UK MD, Anthony Rochelle-Whyte showed me around the facilities.
Endurance Wind Power is a manufacturer of small scale wind turbines designed specifically for use on farms. Endurance turbines are smaller than traditional turbines - less than a third of the height. They give landowners the opportunity to generate power not only for their own use but also as a source of additional income. They are therefore ideal for those farmers, for example, who want a higher output, but don’t want to install the larger towers .
The manufacturing unit in Hartlebury which Endurance moved into in 2013 represents a multi-million pound investment in the UK. From this factory, Endurance exports turbines across the globe. They are a fantastic local business success story and it was a pleasure to spend time with Anthony, Brett and Ed and see the facilities first hand today.
