I was really pleased to drop by 'the Hub' community initiative in Droitwich this week.
The Hub is a community initiative by MAPP (who manage St Andrews Square) and the Landlord to transform a once empty retail unit into a community hub.
The Hub is a comfortable space for the local community, to enjoy a bit of company, calm and well-being.
Droitwich Arts Network were invited to help create a welcoming environment - embracing a variety of forms of art which are now displayed on the walls. What an incredible variety of high quality art is on display AND most of it is also vailable for purchase at reasonable prices. I was really pleased to meet some of the local artists when I visited.
The Hub is located near the entrance to St Andrews Square from St Andrews Street, and is opposite "Mr Harry" hair salon.
I encourage local residents to make use of this new facility and I look forward to popping in again soon.
