I was honoured to join the Chairman of Wychavon District Council, Robbie Raphael and Evesham Station's stationmaster, Gary Hale this morning to hand over a Remembrance Wreath to the train crew of the 7.51 en route to Paddington.
Five ‘Poppy’ trains – starting from Plymouth, Carmarthen, Taunton, Worcester Shrub Hill and Great Malvern – made their way to London ahead of the remembrance service at Paddington’s iconic war memorial.
Wreaths from across the GWR network were placed at the War Memorial on Platform 1 at Paddington.
