I welcomed Sports Minister Mims Davies' strong statement in the House of Commons last week on 11 April on stamping out discrimination in football. In the Chamber afterwards, I asked whether the current fine levels we have in place are harsh enough for those who are abusive under the guise of football.
The Minister's response shows a strong feeling to act to stop discrimination in the football industry and I am hopeful that this will soon translate into action.
