Many parents in my constituency have reported difficulty with the Child Maintenance Service so during Oral Questions to the Department for Work and Pensions today I asked what steps are being taken to ensure that complaints about the CMS are dealt with in a timely manner.
I was reassured by the Minister's response and pleased to hear that not only are extra resources being put into the CMS's Financial Investigations Unit, but the Minister has recently instituted a monthly meeting with the CMS to ensure it lives up to the high standards of customer service that the DWP expects.
