I was privileged to be able to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday parade and service in Droitwich yesterday. The whole community came together, as it does every year, to pay respect to our fallen.
My thanks to the Royal British Legion, armed forces personnel, council and civic leaders, charity, uniformed youth, sport and civil society participants, and all the members of the public who attended the moving service.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend all the services in my constituency this Remembrance Sunday. However, I am very grateful to Cllr. Bradley Thomas, leader of Wychavon District Council, for laying a wreath on my behalf in Evesham while I attended the service in Droitwich. I was able to stop by the memorial in Evesham later that afternoon, and was very touched by the number of tributes on display.
