The Warm Home Discount provides eligible households across Great Britain with a rebate of £150 off their electricity bill, directly from their suppliers.
The vast majority of eligible households in England and Wales will receive their rebates automatically from their energy supplier, without having to take any action. This has been achieved by the Government matching data with suppliers to identify eligible customers.
In some cases, customers in England and Wales who are potentially eligible need to call the dedicated helpline to confirm the names of the billpayer and their energy supplier. The Government wrote to these households between October and December last year. For such customers who have received a letter, but have not yet contacted the helpline number given in their letter, it is vital that they do so before 29 February 2024 to confirm their eligibility and claim their discount.
I strongly encourage any of my Mid Worcestershire constituents who are eligible for the £150 rebate, but have not yet claimed it, to do so before the approaching deadline.
