Yesterday, on 25th June, I attended the first PoliFest event organised by Shout Out UK and which combined sport and politics together at an event in Brunel University.
I had a great time playing ping pong with Johnny Mercer MP, Tom Brake MP and the attendees. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of different people and organisations, like More United who are trying to promote cross-party relations.
We spent some time answering questions from our keen audience and explaining how each of us ended up becoming MPs - all with very different stories.
I want to thank Shout Out UK for inviting us and for all they do to encourage youth participation.
