Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings, an event which saw thousands of soldiers, airmen and sailors give their lives in the pursuit of a freedom that we are able to enjoy today.
We must never forget the heroism of everybody who took part in D-Day, and because of their courage, and so many making the ultimate sacrifice, the whole of the free world will be forever indebted to them. Sadly many would not return home, and it is for those brave individuals that we must continue to honour the fallen and commemorate this day.
