The Swimming Pool Support Fund is a collaborative project between the Government and Sport England which totals over £60 million from the Exchequer and £20m from Sport England’s Lottery funding.
The investment supports public and community facilities with swimming pools across England, ensuring that children and adults up and down the country continue to have access to a public swimming offer, so that people can get active and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
As announced in November 2023, Phase I of the fund delivered £20.3 million of revenue funding to 102 Local Authorities and 196 facilities, with the assessment of Phase II applications now finished.
I wish the best of luck to any applications from Leisure Centres in my Mid Worcestershire constituency. If successful, I look forward to seeing the benefits that the funding will provide in allowing for greater financial stability for these important community assets.
