Just after PMQs this afternoon, I answered an Urgent Question in the House of Commons on support for our sports industry, tabled by former Sports Minister Tracey Crouch MP.
Even though there have been recent setbacks with allowing fans back into stadiums, we are working incredibly hard to ensure that those most impacted by these decisions will have the most support.
This Government will be supporting not just professional sports, but also at an amateur level - I fully appreciate how important sports are to each and every person. We will also not be focussing solely on football, but we are in discussions with 11 other major sports and are developing the best way to get them the help they need.
