During a recent visit to Kings Hawford School in Claines, I had the pleasure of meeting with Assistant Head, Lorne Stigant, and engaging in a vibrant Q&A session with the bright young students of Years 5 and 6.
The conversation was a delightful journey through various topics, from the intricacies of my role as a Member of Parliament to reflections on my experiences before entering the political arena. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the students were truly commendable, providing a refreshing perspective on the issues we discussed.
One of the more light-hearted moments of our discussion involved predictions about the current season of 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!' It's always a joy to see young minds engaged not only in the serious aspects of governance and public service but also in the cultural phenomena that unite us in entertainment and conversation.
Visits like these are invaluable. They offer an opportunity to connect with the younger generation, who are, after all, our future leaders. Their insights and questions remind us of the responsibility we hold as public servants and the importance of nurturing these bright minds.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to Kings Hawford School for their warm welcome and to Assistant Head Lorne Stigant for facilitating this enriching experience. Engaging with the youth is not just a duty but a privilege, and I look forward to more such interactions in the future.
