I was delighted to welcome the Japanese Ambassador to the UK, Hajime Hayashi, and his wife on a visit to Evesham and Broadway in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Blossom Trail.
The Blossom Trail is an annual celebration of the Springtime blossom in Worcestershire, which attracts visitors from around the world.
After a Blossom River Cruise, which offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside and allowed the guests to experience the beauty of the blossom up close, we enjoyed traditional afternoon tea at the Lygon Arms in Broadway.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Phil and the team at The Valley - Evesham for their hard work in organising this event, which was a great success and a testament to the beauty of our region and the warm hospitality of our people.
