This is a sad day for the Worcester Warriors family including employees, players, and fans right across the country. But I am hopeful that the administrators can find a path forward for the club under new owners.
I and the other Worcestershire MPs have been kept updated by the new Sports Minister, Stuart Andrew, and we will stay in regular contact with him and the team at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as well as other key stakeholders as the situation develops.
I know how important the Worcester Warriors are to my constituents and the broader community and I will do what I can to help secure a future for our beloved local rugby club.
