Despite the snow, I managed to have a busy day in the constituency on Friday 1st February.
I started the day at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, where I met with its CEO Sharon Smith and new Policy Executive Poppy Bramford. Sharon and Poppy gave me a useful and comprehensive update on their recent activities and we discussed the final details for a lunch I am hosting for HWCC in the Houses of Parliament this week about skills challenges and opportunities for local businesses. I also went to Berry Hill Industrial Estate in Droitwich to catch up with Julie Smith at her ever popular Julie's Cafe.
I then travelled to the BBC studios in Birmingham to record a session of Sunday Politics Midlands, together with Emma Reynolds MP and Lord Digby Jones. We discussed issues ranging from Brexit to rough sleeping and you can watch the episode here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0c01gdv?fbclid=IwAR0SM8rbXf1-1u5QJ2ZS…;
I also managed to spend some time sledding and playing in the snow by Broadway Tower with my family.
