We have had a bumper sporting weekend, with the Wimbledon finals, the BritishGP at Silverstone and of course the England Cricket team winning the ICC Cricket World Cup!
It is especially poignant, therefore, that Wychavon District Council has recently been awarded a grant of over £570,000 to construct a new artificial grass pitch and two-team changing pavilion in Mid Worcestershire, thanks to the Football Foundation. I hope as many residents as possible will be able to make use of the new pitch and get more involved in sport.
