Over the past week I have been fortunate enough to represent the Conservatives in a cross-party delegation visit to the United States, where we had various meetings with Senators and Congressmen in which we talked about our future trading arrangements as well as the US-UK Special Relationship. Naturally we discussed President Trump's trade policies and, of course, we talked at great length about the UK's new Prime Minister and the ongoing Brexit negotiations.
The week-long trip was incredibly informative and I believe helped both sides better understand the views and attitudes of the other, especially in the realm of trade.
I want to thank everybody who helped organise the meetings and played a role in making the visit such a success.
