Yesterday marked John Bercow's last day as the Speaker and I had the privilege of being the teller and reader (a government whip who counts the number of people who pass through the lobbies during votes) relating to vote on the annual canvass of the electoral roll.
I was honoured to read out the result of what is likely to be the final vote in this parliament . The government won by 206 votes to 33. After this week, there is business scheduled for Monday and Tuesday and after that parliament is dissolved.
