Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit various heritage sites that have now opened their doors to the public.
Thanks to Matt, Kate, Mark and the entire English Heritage team at Kenilworth Castle for showing me around and talking Heritage and Tourism on Friday. Really spectacular grounds, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip out.
I also visited the wonderful Hidcote National Trust property in Gloucestershire with it's very picturesque garden.
And last but not least, it was great to visit the local heritage site, Hartlebury Castle this weekend - the beautiful and historic former home of the Bishops of Worcester and location of Worcestershire's County Museum. It has opened its doors to visitors again (as well as events and wedding hire). Well worth taking your family and friends out so please do go and visit.
Really great to be able to visit these wonderful places and they are fantastic reminders of what amazing history we have in this country and what incredible architecture and heritage is on our doorstep!
