Despite the weather and the loss of an hour's sleep due to daylight saving time, the Anti-Litter Evesham litter pick on Sunday, 26th March 2023, saw an impressive turnout.
Nigel Huddleston MP was delighted to join 49 dedicated volunteers, organised by Anti-Litter Evesham, in collecting 50 bags of rubbish from Evesham's streets and pathways. The event drew support from a diverse array of community groups, including the Evesham Vale WI, Ronald's Rangers, Morrisons - Evesham Community Champions, Wychavon District Council, Lloyds Bank Evesham, and Evesham Town Council. Tom from The Red Lion, Evesham, kindly provided refreshments for the participants.
The Singing Binman also joined the litter pickers, keeping spirits high with his lively tunes.
Nigel remarked, "It was a pleasure to spend time with so many local volunteers during the litter pick in Evesham this morning. The turnout was fantastic, especially considering the weather and the recent clock change!"
