This afternoon, I had the delightful opportunity to visit the Droitwich Community Christmas Market, held at the Droitwich Rugby Club. It was a joy to be part of this festive gathering, which is a highlight in our local calendar and a testament to the strong community spirit we cherish in Mid Worcestershire.
Unlike last year's chilly weather, this year's market was hosted in a marquee, offering a cosy and warm atmosphere for all the visitors. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to meet new ones, all coming together to celebrate the season and support local vendors and artisans.
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Craig and the entire organising team. Their dedication and hard work in setting up this event have truly paid off, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. The market was not only a festive treat but also an important opportunity for local businesses and craftspeople to showcase their talents and products.
On a lighter note, I am pleased to share that my lucky streak in the Christmas raffles continues! Winning at the raffle was a fun moment, but the real prize for me was seeing the joy and camaraderie that events like this bring to our community.
Events such as the Droitwich Community Christmas Market are vital in bringing us together, especially after the challenges of the past few years. They remind us of the importance of community, the joy of sharing, and the spirit of the season.
I look forward to attending more events like this and continue to support the wonderful initiatives that make Mid Worcestershire such a special place to live and work. Wishing everyone a merry festive season and a happy new year!
