I was pleased to be able to once again visit the beautiful Spetchley Park Gardens, with the flowers really starting to bloom. It was insightful to meet many of the team and hear of all the different projects that they are working on, including the planting of 52,000 trees this autumn.
It was great to learn of the volunteer scheme that is ran at Spetchley Park, with volunteering hours ranging from an hour a month to multiple hours a week. I spoke to some of the volunteers, and learned of the health benefits they get from volunteering in the garden, both physically and mentally.
After a quick coffee, it was great to be able to also see the brilliant artwork produced for the Spetchley in Flowers exhibition.
