I know many constituents, like me, have been concerned about the ongoing trend for High Street banks and building societies to close their doors.
But as part of the change of services and transition measures some are setting up banking hubs or community banking or limited service offerings at local community sites.
One such offering is Barclays Local service at Evesham Leisure Centre which I visited recently.
I met Jonathan Brenchley, Head of Corporate Relations for Barclays & the Evesham team at Evesham Leisure Centre where the bank has a local site - on a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9.30-12.30 1.30-4.00.
They told me that at Barclays Local, you can:
Talk to them about managing your money, like setting a budget and tracking your spending
See how to bank using the Barclays app
Make online payments and transfers, and manage Direct Debits and standing orders
Learn about fraud and scams
Register a power of attorney with them
Let them know if someone who banks with them has died
Talk about your mortgage and borrowing options
And a range of other services.
It was good to catch up with the team to discuss what help they can provide local residents and businesses.

And furthermore Barclays also run a community football fund which local teams may consider applying for...
