A great range of festivities will be taking place in Droitwich this Thanksgiving celebrating our local links with America.
On Thursday, November 28 we honour Edward Winslow, one of Droitwich’s most remarkable historical figures who sailed on the Mayflower and had a role in the first ever Thanksgiving.
The day will feature:
Live music performances across town
A U.S. flag-raising ceremony
Interactive exhibitions about Winslow’s life and legacy
Thanksgiving meals and insightful talks
A Thanksgiving service at St. Peter’s Church
Join Droitwich in celebrating its history and embracing the Thanksgiving spirit by bringing food or toy donations for local charities.
Thank you Patrick Davis, Cllr Alex Sinton and everyone involved in making this inaugural event happen.
